The Bridge Project

At the beginning of the year, the entire 3D School of the Arts first years were divided into 5 teams, all tasked with designing and creating a bridge in the first week of term; the bridge would need to span 3 metres a support a gradually increasing load at the centre. Each team is given a very limited set of materials to make their bridges out of, consisting of a controlled amount of cardboard sheets, foamboard, paper clips, rubber bands, fishing line and cardboard tubing.

Below are scans of my team's plans and photos of the finished bridge. Our bridge ended up supporting the largest loads out of our competitors.
